Every mission flies the real recorded weather near Kobuleti for its in-game date and time of day.

• Weather: historical records for the in-game date and hour.
• Briefing: the generated METAR with visibility, cloud base, wind and pressure.
• Calendar: starts on 1 January 2022 and advances one day at every restart. A full in-game year passes in about two real months.
• Time of day: five slots, one per restart, always moving forward.
• Performance: heat and altitude reduce what your helicopter can lift, see Helicopter Performance.

Weather directly changes what your helicopter can lift:

• Heat and altitude thin the air. Engines make less power and the rotor less lift, so payload shrinks and hovering gets harder.
• Worst case: a hot afternoon at a mountain site. A load that lifts easily on a cool morning at the coast may not hover there at all.
• Rated payload stays fixed. An aircraft's rated payload does not change with the weather, and Tycoon does not stop you from loading beyond it. Staying within it does not guarantee your aircraft can lift the load either. Plan crates and fuel with a margin.
• Wind and gusts make hovering, slingloading and landing on small pads harder.

Each restart moves on to the next slot; after Evening it starts again at Dawn. There are six restarts a day but only five slots, so the same real-world hour gets the next slot on the following day and meets every slot once in five days.

The slots follow the sun, so their clock times shift with the season:

• Times are in-game time (Caucasus, UTC +4) for a four-hour session.
• Sun on 21 June: sunrise 05:37, sunset 20:51. On 21 December: sunrise 08:36, sunset 17:44.
