Radio Menu

The Radio Menu holds every Tycoon cockpit action; the F10 map holds none of them. F10 does not open the radio menu: it selects Other after the radio menu is already open.

  1. On the ground, open the radio menu with #.
  2. In the air, open it with Alt+#.
  3. Press F10 to select Other.

Key bindings may differ when a DCS control profile has been changed.

Tycoon's entries stand in a fixed order, so each keeps its F-key:

Entry Contents
My Location The nearest site: its Projects, Institutions and Storage.
Cargo Load, deliver, store and drop crates.
Navigation Nearby sites and the sites that take the loaded cargo, with smoke, flare or illumination.
Wallet Balance, income, costs and recent activity, see Credits.
Upgrades Workshop upgrades for your aircraft types, see Upgrades.
Insurance Cover of your aircraft and its equipment, see Insurance. Only while insurance is switched on.
Tycoon Statistics, map overlays and situation reports.

An offer from an encounter appears at the end of the menu under its own name and disappears once answered or expired.

My Location

Operates on the nearest valid site. Its first row names the site; below are the submenus Projects, Institutions (Cities only) and Storage.

Storage

Storage takes crates out of the stock of the site you are at. Pick the cargo, then how many crates you want. A crate taken out of a store is the same crate that was stored.

Entry Crates taken out
Spawn max free slots As many as your aircraft has free slots, even beyond its rated payload.
Spawn max payload As many as stay within your aircraft's rated payload.
Spawn 1 / 2 / 4 / 6 / 24 crates The fixed number, or whatever is left if the site holds less.

Some of a site's crates may first have to be brought out of its storage. That takes a few seconds, and the crates appear once they have arrived. Where they appear depends on the site, see Cargo.

Messages you may see:

Message Meaning
bringing N more <cargo> from storage… The crates are on their way; wait a few seconds.
only X of Y <cargo> requested are in storage - spawning what is available The site holds fewer crates than requested. You get all of them.
out of range for cargo here (X m away, max Y m) Too far from the site: 500 m at an airfield, 80 m for an airplane at a pad, 30 m for a helicopter at a pad. Nothing is taken out.
no room to place cargo near your aircraft No free space behind the aircraft. Move a little and try again.
rated payload already reached Spawn max payload has nothing left to add. Use Spawn max free slots to load beyond it.
cargo bay full No free slot left.

At an airfield, the first row Stored x/y shows how full its shared storage is.

Cargo

Use Cargo whenever a Torque Tycoon crate moves between the ground and the aircraft's internal cargo hold. DCS's built-in rearm/reload and cargo-loading menus do not recognize Tycoon crates. Slingloads use the helicopter's cargo hook; a crate set down from the sling is delivered or stored from Nearby.

│ │ ├─ Load all nearby
│ │ └─ Load <Crate> (one per crate nearby)
│ ├─ Deliver (only where the site takes deliveries)
│ │ ├─ Deliver all loaded (N)
│ │ ├─ <Cargo> (N loaded) (one per loaded cargo)
│ │ │ ├─ Deliver all (N)
│ │ │ └─ Deliver 1, 2, 4, 6, 24
│ │ └─ <Cargo> (N on ground) (one per cargo lying at the site)
│ │ ├─ Deliver all (N)
│ │ └─ Deliver 1, 2, 4, 6, 24
│ ├─ Store (only where the site has a store; same shape, with the fee)
│ │ ├─ Store all loaded (N x 75 GEL)
│ │ ├─ <Cargo> (N loaded)
│ │ └─ <Cargo> (N on ground)
│ └─ Drop loaded (sets crates down without delivering them)
│ ├─ Drop all loaded (N)
│ └─ <Cargo> (N loaded)
│ ├─ Drop all (N)
│ └─ Drop 1, 2, 4, 6, 24

Deliver and Store only appear where the site takes the cargo; which site takes what is listed under Cargo. The Store entries show the storage fee. Both also work from the wreck of an aircraft that was brought down in one piece.

Every cargo offers the same steps, whatever is aboard: a step larger than what is there unloads all of it. Crates leave the hold in the order they were loaded; crates on the ground go nearest first.

Cargo Sites reads (no loaded cargo) while the hold is empty.

Site Smoke colour
Source Green
Factory Blue
Hub Orange
City White

Smoke appears roughly 120 metres to the right of the approach. Fire flare launches a red signal flare directly from the selected site and can be requested again after 30 seconds.

Drop illumination bomb lights up the selected site at night: the bomb ignites 1000 metres above the site's ground level (never above your own aircraft) and slowly descends. It can be requested again after 5 minutes.

The F10 map button that toggles all markers.
Pinned Project:
A pinned project marker on the F10 map.

To delete it, click on the red cross or remove it via Tycoon > Map > Pinned projects.

Pins are removed on a server restart.

Encounter Offers

An offer from an encounter is added at the end of the menu, behind Tycoon:

└─ <Offer>
├─ <Option> (one per choice, including declining)
   └─ Show message again

It disappears once answered, when it expires, or on takeoff.

Chat Commands

Some answers are faster to type than to click. These commands work in the ordinary DCS chat and reply only to your own group.

Command Shows
-tyc help The list of commands.
-tyc supply [seconds] Full supply labels on the F10 map for a short while.
-tyc info <code> The detail card for one site.
-tyc demand [n] The most urgent demands.
