The Live Map (map.torquetycoon.net) shows the current persistent world: site roles, stock, requirements, known routes and threats. Its values take precedence over any figure in this wiki.
Three buttons switch the basemap style; three toggles layer information on top. Both rows sit in the top-left control.
| Button | Effect |
|---|---|
| NAV | Terrain basemap, best for ridge and valley navigation. |
| SEC | Light basemap, best contrast for reading site colours and security fills. |
| INT | Dark basemap; switching to it turns THREATS and RADAR on and CAL off. |
| THREATS | Enemy contacts: bearing cones, resolved areas and contact icons. |
| RADAR | Green rumor cones around mapped anchor sites. |
| CAL | DF station calibration coverage rings, see Calibrate a DF Station. |
Mode and toggle state persist until changed; leaving INT does not revert THREATS/RADAR/CAL back to what they were before.
Top-right, always visible:
Top-right Map button opens the background picker: Light, Dark, Grey and Terrain styles, plus a Relief-Overlay toggle for hillshading over any of them. Simpler styles improve icon contrast; Terrain helps with navigation.
The Sorties panel lists up to five groups of useful tasks, two entries shown per group. Each entry gives its reason, priority and relevant cargo; a finished entry stays struck through briefly before it disappears. The entries are recommendations, not restrictions: any route whose source can supply the cargo and whose destination accepts it is valid.
| Group | Contains |
|---|---|
| Recon | Rumors worth mapping, with a countdown to when the rumor expires. |
| Supply | Recommended cargo runs between existing Sources, Factories, Hubs and Cities. In a region with Civic Administration, an unrest warning heads this group. |
| Construction | Commissioning deliveries and Project crates still needed. |
| Calibration | DF station sectors that have fully decayed and are worth re-flying. |
| Armed | Enemy contacts worth clearing, with the Security gain it unlocks. |
The unrest warning names a Settlement that will fall into unrest within four or within two flight hours without Food deliveries. It is not a countdown: the clock runs only while someone is flying, and every delivery changes the estimate. A Settlement already in unrest receives no warning; the regular unrest entry covers it.
Every marker shows its location name beside it in black text. When zoomed far out, only City names are shown; Airfield and Heliport names appear as you zoom in, then Hub names, and finally Factory and Source names. The markers themselves stay visible at every zoom level. Names never cover each other, a marker or a Region name: a name moves to another side of its marker when there is no room, and is left out where the map is too crowded until you zoom in further. City names are never left out. In a browser, pointing at a marker shows its name even when it is left out. Source and Factory labels use the colour of their produced cargo; Cities, Hubs, Airfields and Heliports use their site-type colour. Grey or hidden markers are not yet fully mapped. Mapped Sites that still await commissioning are shown in grey at 40% opacity together with their labels. For Hubs and Cities, the colour of the outer ring shows Trust and its fill shows stored supply. The small badge reads T plus the Trust value, for example T72; a dash means the Settlement has no Trust yet or is not commissioned.
The header of a site's panel shows its type, name, site ID (for example FACT_AD_SAWMILL_01), region and radio. Below it, a Settlement shows its level and two separate blocks:
Trust ±0 (half a stock) it falls, above it it rises, and faster the fuller the store is (+6%/h, +24%/h, before the region's Projects).Unrest (30 %), Warn (unrest warning, 40 %) and Recovered (55 %), the Trend in % per flight hour with an arrow for the direction, and the unrest stage if there is one. The trend already includes spread and the region's Projects.A Source shows a Production block with its current cycle length and a countdown to the next crate, or the reason production is paused (e.g. a full warehouse). Storage shows each cargo with its symbol and number of crates. A Hub or City always lists every cargo it accepts, with empty ones greyed out; other sites list only what they hold. Stored crates can be taken out again through the radio menu. Hovering a site also highlights its known cargo routes.
An airfield's panel shows its DF station, its upgrades and its stored cargo. The storage title reads Storage x / y: crates stored of the shared storage limit.
Player and AI aircraft are drawn by airframe class:
The map can follow an active unit when used in a browser or OpenKneeboard.
Better fixes require the appropriate Enemy Detection station network.
The Region panel opens on hover over a region's name; a click on the name pins it, a second click releases it. It shows:
+ is free, a grey dashed square is locked and names the level sum that opens it.
Settlement panels show their buildings under Built Sites as a row of icons, site upgrades first. An amber ! means unrest has paused its effect. Hovering an icon shows its effect, upgrade and current cost. Free and locked slots appear only in the Region panel, because they belong to the region.
